Indoor air quality is an ever changing science and therefore it is the goal of all Environmental AirTechs’ staff to be up to date on the relevant science and remediation practices as they become available.  This is accomplished by gaining as much experience and knowledge through continued training for the purpose of understand the limits and/or extents environmental factors (including microbial) may attribute to occupant complaints revolving around your home, workplace, or business. Such conditions give due time (or ignored) may affect your greatest assets and investment(s), i.e. your home, building, inventory, and workforce.

Due to striving for excellence and Environmental AirTechs’ desire to bring professionalism to its customers, Environmental AirTechs’ team collectively consist of seven of the eight certifications offered by the American Indoor Air Quality Council.

How can Environmental AirTechs help our clients? With a Council-certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor (CMRS) on our team, Environmental AirTechs is able to demonstrate the expected knowledge to conduct reliable remediation to small and large projects (including HVAC systems).

What is a CMRS?

A Council-certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor (CMRS) has earned the most respected certification in the field of microbial remediation supervising.

A CMRS is certified as knowledgeable and experienced in microbial remediation and capable of supervising others in microbial remediation projects.

To earn and maintain the CMRS, every candidate must:

  • Demonstrate at least five (5) years of verifiable field experience in microbial remediation
  • Pass a rigorous, psychometrically rated examination based on broad industry knowledge rather than a course curriculum
  • Earn the unanimous approval of the CMRS certification board
  • Re-certify every two years
  • Participate in 20 hours of professional development activities each year
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards

The CMRS certification is accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB), a nationally recognized independent accreditation body.  IAQ Council certifications are the ONLY designations in indoor air quality to earn CESB accreditation.
